VSO Announces Q3 2025 Promotions!
VSO is proud to announce our Q3 2025 employee promotions! We continue to encourage the career growth of our team and make efforts to foster an environment in which our employees advance their careers at VSO.
Jim Mead Promoted to VP of Customer Success:
Jim began his career after earning a Chemistry degree from the University of Maryland in 1996, working for several different technology companies in his early years in business. This helped to build a range of technical skills and develop a background he could use in managing technology business. In 2002 he joined NovusCG where he led the Product, Development, QA and Delivery Teams for the SERP product NovusCG was developing. Following an acquisition by IBM, Jim developed his own business and partnered with NetApp to deliver outcome-based solutions for NetApp storage customers for a number of years. Prior to VSO, Jim ran a consulting business providing business and technical leadership services to smaller clients, primarily as the acting CFO and COO for a research company.
In early 2022, Jim added VSO to his client list to aid with some business intelligence and analytic reporting for beta product call “FogLifter®”. His work grew to focus on delivery methodology and implementing formal product management around FogLifter®. Jim joined VSO as an employee in October of 2022 to build and manage the FogLifter® Product Team, which was focused on Delivery, Support and Product Management. In the role of VP of Customer Success, Jim is responsible for the complete FogLifter® customer life-cycle from Pre-Sales Support to Product Management to Delivery to Support. Congratulations, Jim!
Maria Echaniz Promoted to Project Manager:
Maria has been with VSO for more than 3 years and is currently on the Landscape team supporting Pratt and Whitney. The Landscape team supports the client with maintenance windows and critical changes and works with the application teams to schedule changes without interrupting services.
Maria possesses a professional demeanor when working with clients. Maria is always raising her hand for new roles and opportunities. All of this coupled with her commitment to VSO’s principles and her team have taken her to the next level in her VSO career. She has expressed interest in becoming a project manager and expanding her career opportunities with VSO.

Jared Hunt Promoted to Solutions Engineer:
We are pleased to announce that Jared Hunt has been promoted to Solutions Engineer.
Jared joined VSO in 2022 as a SkillBridge candidate and has been an integral member of the Network Operations Center (NOC) team from the beginning of the program. He has been instrumental in maintaining the reliability and security of critical customer networks. Known for his professionalism, integrity, and steady leadership, Jared consistently goes above and beyond to ensure mission success.
His disciplined work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to support his teammates make him a trusted and respected member of the organization. Jared’s calm and methodical approach to problem-solving, paired with his commitment to continuous improvement, exemplify the high standards of excellence that define VSO.
