Finally, the Client takes advantage of VSO’s Foglifter service to provide current, reliable reports, metrics and billing information to meet their high standards of service delivery.
The Client’s growing environment consists of over 8000 servers, 4800 VMs, and 13PB of primary storage spread across over 50 locations globally. VSO has participated in managed services of the storage, backup, and server environments over several years. VSO achieved success with the Client is through the deployment of an vSQOD managed service model that focuses security and efficiency while being measured by powerful artifacts. This delivery includes timely responses to incidents, financial management, and vendor management while eliminating duplicative errors and unnecessary delays.
The close relationship between the account service team and the VSO senior architecture team provides design, engineering, migration, and project management for seamless day-to-day support. This VSO team works together with the account team, partners, and the Client’s leadership to identify repeating events that can be automated for a simpler, more secure solution. VSO also leads the design of new infrastructure solutions and then runs the migration, decommission, and infrastructure refreshes associated with implementing the new solutions.
However, the radical growth of storage costs, led our partner to request that VSO deploy our FogLifter data collection, aggregation, and correlation service to automate what had become the work of over twenty staff. The FogLifter single pane of glass service saves the Client effort and time normally accomplished by dozens of people compiling data from numerous sources – while also providing historical data to enable trended forecasting
